Watches bring people together — collectors, watchmakers, dealers, and retailers all play a role in keeping the hobby alive. The problem is, the watch world is scattered. It isn’t always easy to know where to turn when you need a service, want to buy a piece, or are simply looking to connect with the community. Loupe Radar was built to make that easier.
At the heart of the site is a simple tool: a map. Here you can find watchmakers, independent dealers, and retailers in your city or anywhere you’re traveling. Each profile gives you a sense of who they are and what they do, making it easier to support the people who keep this industry moving.
I’ve been collecting for over ten years, and during that time I’ve seen just how important these businesses are. Watchmakers keep heirlooms running, independent dealers hunt down the rare and unusual, and retailers give people their first experience of the hobby. Too often, their work flies under the radar. Loupe Radar is my attempt to shine a light on them, give back to the community that’s given me so much, and help new collectors feel less overwhelmed when they first step in.
For now, the locator is the foundation of the site. Over time, I’ll be adding articles and features too — things like upcoming auction highlights, watchmaker interviews, and vintage catalog reviews. The goal isn’t just to create another watch site, but to build a resource that both enthusiasts and professionals can actually use.
Thanks for stopping by. Take a few minutes to explore the map, check out some of the profiles, and share it with anyone who might find it helpful. This is just the start.
